#MESCommunity - Join the MESC Board at the Autry After Hours: Viva el Arte

  • Autry Museum of the American West 4700 Western Heritage Way Los Angeles, CA, 90027 United States (map)

What does it look like to work on the MESC Board?

Join us on the South Lawn at the Autry Museum at 6:00 PM and get a behind the scenes peek at the professional development opportunities that exist by serving on the MESC Board. Meet current board members and hear their story of how they came to serve in their role. MESC is a great space to cultivate your passions, ideas, and career.

At 6:30 PM, enjoy the final installment of Autry After Hours inspired by their current LA RAZA exhibition. Experience in-gallery spoken word by L.A. poets Ángel Garcia and Suzanne Lummis, and get creative with Self Help Graphics & Art’s Barrio Mobile Art Studio. Food and drink will be available to purchase.

RSVPs are required. This event is free for MESC members and nonmembers.

What are my transportation/parking options nearby?
The Autry is located across from the L.A. Zoo at the junction of the I-5 and 134 freeways. During weekends and summer months, the Zoo Drive exit from the I-5 can become extremely congested. As an alternative, exit at Los Feliz, turn left, and take a right at Crystal Springs Drive, which turns into Zoo Drive, or take the Griffith Park exit. The Autry will be on your right.

Take the Metro Local Line 96 to the Autry stop (if headed north/from Union Station) or to the L.A. Zoo stop (if headed south/from Burbank). Plan your best route using the Trip Planner on metro.net.

Can I sign up for the program on the day of the event?
Yes.

What kind of access services are available?
This MESC program is wheelchair accessible. Assisted-listening devices are available for use by advanced request. Please email mescbiz@gmail.com with any needs you may have two weeks prior to the event.
